5 Summer Events In Cherry Hill To Mark On Your Calendar

CHERRY HILL, NJ — Although the local cherry blossom bloomed only weeks ago, summer fun is around the corner in Cherry Hill.

From food trucks to concerts to holiday celebrations, here are five summer events in the township to mark on your calendar.

Al Fresco Affair

May 23 and Aug. 29, 6-8 p.m. at Croft Farm (100 Bortons Mill Rd.)

The township's food truck festival returns in a few weeks. The first will feature Parrot Beach — a tribute to the late Jimmy Buffett. Find out more.

Memorial Day Ceremony

May 27, 10 a.m. at 820 Mercer St.

Local veteran's organizations and officials will honor fallen members of the U.S. military. County Commissioner Melinda Kane, an American Gold Star Mother, will serve as keynote speaker. Find out more.

Juneteenth Parade & Festival

June 22, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Croft Farm (100 Bortons Mill Rd.)

The Cherry Hill African American Civic Association is hosting a celebration to commemorate the end of chattel slavery in the United States. Festivities will include live music, food trucks and a petting zoo. Find out more.

Independence Day Celebration

July 3, gates open at 6:30 p.m. at Michael J. Santarpio Field (Jonas C. Morris Stadium, Cherry Hill High School West, 2101 Chapel Ave.)

For the first time in more than a decade, the township will launch fireworks for the nation's birthday. Masquerade, a local band, will take the stage at 8 p.m. before the 9 p.m. firework launch. Find out more.

Music Under the Stars

July 16, July 23 and July 30 at 7 p.m. at the Barclay Farmstead (209 Barclay Ln.)

The township's outdoor-concert series will feature the following performers:

• July 16: The Frontiers (Journey tribute)
• July 23: David Clark's (all about Billy Joel)
• July 30: Larger Than Life (boy band tribute)
