FBI Conducts Activity In Cherry Hill For Active Investigation

The nature of the investigation remains unclear.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — The FBI is leading an investigation that brought a large police presence to Cherry Hill on Monday.

The investigation brought law enforcement to Walt Whitman Boulevard and Baldwin Road late Monday morning — down the street from Horace Mann Elementary School. But authorities said there is no threat to the public.

The nature of the investigation remains unclear as of this writing.

An FBI regional spokesperson told Patch that the agency was conducting "court-authorized law enforcement activity" in the area.

"There is no threat to the public," the spokesperson told Patch around noon Monday. "Other than the law enforcement actions of which you may already be aware, the situation is fluid so we have no additional details to provide at this time."

Cherry Hill police secured the scene.

FBI personnel may remain in the area for a period of time, police said early Monday afternoon.
