Camden Catholic Honors Crawford for 700th Career Win
The longtime coach is just the third in South Jersey history to reach 700.
Camden Catholic honored boys' basketball head coach Jim Crawford as part of Alumni Day on Jan. 19, after the Irish scored the 700th win of Crawford's coaching career against Lenape.
More than 40 players came out to honor Crawford for his feat—he's one of just three South Jersey coaches to ever reach the 700-win mark. 200 of those wins have come in just the last decade.
Crawford's teams have won three of the Irish's five state titles, scoring championship victories in 2001, 2003 and 2010. Before that, the Irish hadn't won since back-to-back titles in 1940 and 1941.
