Cherry Hill Man Pegged To Lead Haddonfield Business District

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A Cherry Hill man has been appointed to lead the business improvement district for Haddonfield, the group announced on Wednesday.

Michael Marciante has been selected as the new Parternship for Haddonfield (PfH) Executive Director by the group and borough officials, according to the management corporation for Haddonfield’s Business Improvement District.

Marciante is a native of Central New Jersey and a graduate of Ramapo College. He currently lives in Cherry Hill and will start in his role on Nov. 3.

“We are so pleased to announce this appointment,” Haddonfield Mayor Colleen Bianco Bezich said. “Michael brings a wealth of experience in event coordination, marketing and communications, and customer-focused relationship building. He offers a fresh perspective and the ability to help reconcile the Downtown Haddonfield brand at a time when we’re competing with third-party marketplaces and online retailers as opposed to shopping malls, which was the reality at the Partnership’s inception.”

“When presented with the opportunity of serving the Partnership for Haddonfield as the Executive Director, I saw it as an opportunity to plant my roots and better serve a thriving community,” Marciante said. “I believe Haddonfield has incredible potential, and I am in awe of the accomplishments the Partnership, the Borough, and downtown businesses have achieved thus far.”

The PfH was created by ordinance in 2004 with the mission to provide leadership that produces the best downtown in the region by developing and promoting a superior business mix and enhancing the image of Haddonfield in the marketplace.

Marciante’s experience is in event marketing and production, with a focus on digital marketing and advertising.

“I have had the pleasure of immersing myself in different communities, bringing people together to experience art and lifestyle festivals across the country,” Marciante said. “I’m a big proponent of shared experiences.”

“We are excited that Michael is coming on board as our Executive Director,” PfH Chairperson Susan Hodges said. “He will be starting at a crucial time, the beginning of our most important shopping season for many of our downtown businesses.”

Marciante told Patch he has a lot of ideas to help the Downtown Business District move forward, particularly during the holiday season. With the holiday season quickly approaching, those ideas will be implemented ahead of the 2022 holiday shopping season.
