Fraudsters Had 31 Fake IDs at Arrest, Police Say

Lisa Bridgelal, 53, of Jamaica, NY, and Annmarie Richards, 46, of Elkins Park, PA, are suspects in numerous fraud cases, police said.

Two women who have been involved in fraudulent purchases at Kohl's stores across New Jersey had 31 fake IDs on them when they were arrested in Marlton Tuesday, Evesham Township Police said.

Store security spotted Lisa Bridgelal, 53, of Jamaica, NY, and Annmarie Richards, 46, of Elkins Park, PA, in the Route 70 store around 9:30 p.m., police said, and notified Evesham officers about the potential connection to the widespread fraud.

Evesham officers arrested the women after discovering they'd made a purchase with fake IDs and credit cards, police said, and found the additional fake IDs after searching them following the arrest.

The officers also seized the car the women had driven to Kohl's, which police said was loaded with other purchases believed to have been fraudulently purchased; it wasn't searched, however, pending the approval of a warrant.

The investigation is ongoing, police said, but officers believe the two women have hit numerous stores in the state since June.

Bridgelal and Richards, who were both wanted by other agencies, were each charged with numerous counts both of fourth-degree possession of fraudulent documents and third-degree fraudulent use of a credit card. Both were taken to the Burlington County Jail in default of bail, which was set at $105,000 full cash for Bridgelal and $85,000 full cash for Richards.
