Gym Car Burglars Go on $10K Shopping Spree, Police Say

The men hit a car in the parking lot of the Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club, police said.

Two thieves ran up a five-figure bill last month after stealing credit cards from a car parked at the Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club, Cherry Hill Police said.

The men, pictured above in surveillance footage, who were driving a silver SUV, went on a spending spree shortly after grabbing the cards on July 22, police said, racking up more than $10,000 in charges at the Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, Staples, Starbucks, Target and Apple stores in Cherry Hill.

Anyone with information on either man or the incident is asked to contact Detective Doris Kenniff at 856-432-8834 or dkenniff@cherryhillpolice.com.

Similar incidents occurred earlier this year, when, according to police, two women burglarized cars in gym parking lots and used the proceeds to buy gift cards at area stores.

Police did not indicate there was any connection to those earlier incidents in this latest case, however.
