Library Blood Drive, Nature Workshop Highlight Week's Events

Also, Barclay Farmstead is open for tours.

Cherry Hill's public library will hold a blood drive for the American Red Cross Tuesday afternoon, as part of the effort to make up for the organization's summer blood shortage.

The drive, which is behind held in the lower level conference center, starts at 2 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m., and appointments are available at the library's website. Donors will get a coupon good for a free Dunkin Donuts iced coffee and a doughnut.

Budding wildlife and nature photographers can find out what they need to know—from what equipment and cameras it takes to what techniques work best—in a free nature photography workshop at the Camden County environmental center.

The lecture and photo walk start at 6 p.m.

Back at the library, the monthly writers' group gets together at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and Thursday is Anime Day for high-schoolers, with activities starting at 2 p.m.

Barclay Farmstead tours are also on tap this week—if you're looking for some history, swing by the 19th-century farmhouse on Wednesday between noon and 4 p.m.
