Man Charged In Fatal Thanksgiving Hit-And-Run In Cherry Hill
A 29-year-old Philadelphia man has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed a woman while she crossed Route 70.
CHERRY HILL, NJ — A 29-year-old Philadelphia man has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed a woman while she crossed Route 70 in Cherry Hill on Thanksgiving, police announced Thursday evening.
Michael R. Rodgers Jr., has been charged with second-degree knowingly leaving the scene of a fatal accident and fourth-degree obstructing the administration of law, according to Cherry Hill police.
The woman was crossing Route 70 in the area of the f the Garden State Park shopping complex at about 7:10 p.m. when she was struck, according to police. She was crossing the westbound lanes when she was hit by a dark-colored car near the center median, police said. Without stopping, the car continued west on Route 70, police said.
