The retailer's roots trace back to the late 1960s, when Martin's Golf & Tennis Superstore opened in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Martin's operated for more than 40 years as a go-to store in the golfing hotspot.

In 2004, Golf & Tennis Pro Shop acquired Martin's and rebranded to PGA Tour Superstore. The business became the PGA Tour's exclusive partner for off-course retailing.

Atlanta Falcons Owner Arthur Blank acquired the company in 2010 and expanded it. Now, there are PGA Tour Superstores in half of U.S. states.

There are two in North Jersey. But the closest PGA Tour Superstore to Cherry Hill is nearly an hour away in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.

Cherry Hill's store will operate next to Burlington at the Garden State Pavilions. It will encompass nearly 40,000 square feet.

The address is 2232 Route 70 W, Suite C.

A separate golf-centered business is also set to open in Cherry Hill later this year: TruGolf Links Center, a simulated golf entertainment center with a restaurant and bar.
