Power Outage Shifts Barton Students to Cherry Hill West

A number of changes have had to be put in place for the rest of the school day, officials said.

A power outage at Clara Barton Elementary shifted kids to Cherry Hill West and forced several changes to the school day Thursday, Cherry Hill school officials said.

First- through fifth-graders were bused to West to complete the school day, officials said, while afternoon kindergarten was canceled and morning-session kindergartners were dismissed on their usual schedule.

Students who normally ride a bus to Barton will be bused home from West, officials said, and students who walk to Barton will be bused from West to Barton, and will have to walk home from there.
