Redevelopment Study Pulled from Planning Board Agenda
A draft plan of one of two studies aimed at keeping Subaru in Cherry Hill won't be ready in time for Monday's meeting, officials said.

Redevelopment plans aimed at keeping Subaru’s American headquarters in Cherry Hill won’t move quite as quickly as expected, after all.
A draft plan for the Victory Refrigeration site on Woodcrest Road appears not to be ready for the Cherry Hill planning board’s first meeting in August, according to township officials, who had scheduled a public hearing on the plans.
The delay also means any redevelopment plan wouldn’t be able to be considered by the township council this month, which has consolidated to one August meeting.

That puts things back on roughly the estimated schedule—three to four months—mentioned when township council first authorized a pair of redevelopment studies.
Though township council wouldn’t be able to approve anything before September, the planning board could hold a public hearing on the plan at some point in the next several weeks, township officials said.

“It will be ready for one of the next few meetings,” township spokeswoman Bridget Palmer said.
The second study, on a parcel of land originally slated for an off-track betting parlor at the old Garden State racetrack property, is still pending, as well.
