Footage from Cinnaminson drone photographer Daniel McCauley showed the tornado above New Albany Road and Chestnut Hill Drive:

Both tornados maxed at roughly 0.3 miles in width, weather officials said.

The first of the tornados blasted through Palmyra, Riverton and Cinnaminson. The weather event uprooted several trees along local roads and at the Riverton Country Club in Cinnaminson.

The second tornado, which covered more ground, formed along a line of thunderstorms and initially touched down near Riverton Road and Woodside Lane, uprooting multiple trees. The winds then traveled southeast, toward Cinnaminson High School and Eleanor Rush Intermediate School.

But the strongest wind damage occurred near Wynwood Drive and Locust Lane, peeling most of the roof off a single-family home, the National Weather Service said. The tornado then continued across Route 130 into Lakeview Memorial Park, where a large swath of softwood trees were either uprooted or snapped at the trunk, according to officials.

The tornado then uprooted and snapped multiple trees in the neighborhoods surrounding New Albany Road and Endicott Avenue, toward the communities near Ravenswood Park, officials said. The winds then pushed into Delran and Moorestown.

In recent years, tornados have become more frequent in Burlington County. The area went from zero confirmed tornados from 2005-2018 to at least seven since 2019, according to the National Centers for Environmental Information.
