BOE Meeting, Cinnaminson Day Highlight Week Ahead

Also, take time to check out Cinnaminson's updated (and much more attractive) website this week.

Cinnaminson's new-look municipal website was originally slated to launch Monday, but it looks like township officials went ahead and unveiled it over the weekend.

The updated site has an abundance of new and improved features, including an "I Want To" section, with instructions for filing an OPRA request, registering to vote, applying for a marriage license and more; a list of farmland and preserved open space; a directory of sports programs; resources for business owners; and much more.

(What do you think of the new site? Tell us in the comments below.)

The Cinnaminson Board of Education meets at 7:30 p.m. at the middle school. The agenda is relatively light. However, there may be some discussion regarding the district's capital improvement plan.

The district applied over the summer for approximately $12.5 million worth of state aid for improvements at all four schools, which collectively would cost roughly $39 million. According to the district website, the board has received "informal" approvals from the Department of Education and is awaiting "formal" notification. You can review the full scope of the proposed improvements via the district website here.

Also this week, Cinnaminson Middle School Home & School will have a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday and the middle school hosts it back-to-school night at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Close out the week (or is the start of the following week?) by stopping by Wood Park Sunday for Cinnaminson Appreciation Day. The event, scheduled for 12-4 p.m., is a "showcase" of the best of Cinnaminson, and will feature plenty of food, music, entertainment and more.

Later that night, visit SweetWater for a viewing party coinciding with chef George Kyrtatas' appearance on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen. Help yourself to some free appetizers, enjoy some drink specials and listen to Kyrtatas tableside behind-the-scenes commentary about his experience filming the show.
