Burlington County Launches Online Portal For COVID-19 Testing

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Burlington County has launched a new online portal for residents to make appointments to get tested for the coronavirus through the county’s testing site, officials announced.

Testing is available for walk-ins at the Burlington County Emergency Training Center at 53 Academy Drive in Westampton five days a week, according to county officials.

It runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, and from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. About 200 people currently get tested at the site a day.

The new portal will permit residents to book appointment times and submit information in advance to make testing faster and easier, officials said.

The portal can be accessed at either www.burlingtoncountytesting.org or www.co.burlington.nj.us/1927/COVID-19-Testing.

“Testing remains a critical tool to prevent further spread of COVID-19 by identifying and isolating those who have become exposed or infected, and we’re seeing high demand for it as more people return to work at offices or in-person learning in classrooms,” Burlington County Health Director Dr. Herb Conaway said. “We want to make sure testing remains accessible and convenient, so we created a web portal for residents to submit information and book appointment times. Appointments are not required, but it can make the process faster and easier, so we’re encouraging residents who need a test to make use of this new tool.”

Testing is available for any Burlington County resident ages 5-and-up, as well as anyone who works in Burlington County or attend schools here.

No prescription is required, but insurance information is requested from those who have it. No one will be turned away from testing due to a lack of insurance.

The Burlington County Health Department also continues to make COVID-19 vaccine available to anyone who is unvaccinated, as well as booster shots for those who are eligible to receive them.

Burlington County’s vaccine clinics run on the following schedule:

• Mondays from 2-6 p.m. at the Burlington County Emergency Services Training Center, 53 Academy Dr., Westampton (drive-thru clinic).
• Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palmyra Community Center, 30 West Broad, Palmyra.
• Wednesdays from noon to 4 p.m. at the Weimann Building, 400 Delanco Road, Edgewater Park.
• Thursdays from 3-7 p.m. at the Bordentown Township Senior Center, 3 Municipal Dr., Bordentown.

“Burlington County has come a long way since the pandemic started, but we know the virus is still active, so our Health Department continues to respond proactively to protect our residents,” Burlington County Commissioner Deputy Director Dan O’Connell, liaison to the Health Department, said. “This new web portal is just one example of the Department’s outstanding work throughout the crisis. It’s a great addition that makes sure testing remains fast and easy for our residents who need it.”
