Cinnaminson Lands Starring Role in Safety Video
The school district's "absolutely excellent" transportation track record earned it special recognition from the state.
Thanks to its sterling safety record, Cinnaminson School District will have a starring role in the state's latest bus safety video.
Superintendent Salvatore Illuzzi said the Department of Transportation recently informed the district it had been chosen to be the scene of the state's latest back-to-school bus safety video, an annual tradition.
Illuzzi said Cinnaminson was selected for the honor based on a couple factors:
- The district's transportation department has an "absolutely excellent record"—it's ranked No. 2 in the state based on its economy of scale, according to Illuzzi—and has been accident- and ticket-free for a while.
- The district always passes security checks "without question," he said.
The superintendent was unsure whether any local students would be featured in the video, which will be aired across the state once it's complete.
