Cinnaminson Scout Troop Celebrates Their 88th Eagle Scout

James Paradise led a team of fellow scouts and volunteers in renovating the garden and recreational area for Good Counsel in Riverside.

Cinnaminson Scouting America Troop 70 is holding an Eagle Court of Honor to celebrate James Paradise's accomplishment. The Eagle Rank is the highest rank that a scout can attain. A scout must first demonstrate proficiency in a variety of skills from cooking to citizenship and culminates in the completion of their Eagle project to benefit a community organization. An Eagle Scout project emphasizes the leadership role of the scout. An Eagle Scout must plan, budget, fundraise, manage volunteers and more.

A little bit about James' Eagle Scout Project. James led a team of fellow scouts and volunteers in making a garden and cleaning up the recreational area for Good Counsel located in Riverside, New Jersey. Good Counsel helps pregnant women and new mothers in crisis. "They offer shelter and guide mothers on good nutrition, health, parenting, and financial practices. I want to help Good Counsel because they greatly impact the community and help people in need. I hope to create a more appealing area where the mothers can relax with their babies and where their children can play."

James graduated Cinnaminson High School in 2024 and is currently finishing his freshman year at the University of Delaware. If your child is interested in Scouting, you can find out more about Troop 70 at www.troop70bsa.org.
