Cinnaminson Committee Election Closes Out: Here's How The Tight Race Ended
A Democratic candidate is set to join the governing body for the first time in recent memory.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Dr. Corinne Taylor-Walls declared victory Friday in the Cinnaminson Township Committee election as she prepares to become the first Democratic candidate voted to the governing body in recent memory.
The announcement came 10 days after Election Day, when the race between Taylor-Walls and Republican incumbent Stephanie Kravil was too close to call.
On Thursday, election officials finished counting provisional ballots and mail-in ballots that arrived after Election Day. Taylor-Walls finished 88 votes ahead of Kravil.

Taylor-Walls, a first-time candidate, is the director of outpatient services for Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital, which has several South Jersey facilities.
"This victory belongs to all of us," Taylor-Walls said Friday on social media, "whether you knocked on doors, wrote postcards, put up lawn signs, or created spaces for thoughtful discussions, your energy and belief powered this campaign from start to finish."
Kravil has been a Township Committee member since 2018. She is also currently the mayor — the Township Committee selects one of its members to serve as mayor at the beginning of each calendar year.
She bowed out of the race on Friday.
"Even though I won’t be sitting on the Committee anymore, my commitment to this community isn’t going anywhere," Kravil announced. "I’ll still be here; as a neighbor, a volunteer, and someone who will always do whatever I can to make Cinnaminson the best it can be."
Kravil finished Election Day (Nov. 4) ahead by 30 votes. But each daily tally since then has favored Taylor-Walls.
Mail-in ballots must be sent before polls close on Election Day, but they can arrive up to six days later and still count.
