3 Hurt In Crash That Closes Route 70 In Burlington County

Each driver was injured in the 3-vehicle collision, which closed the highway in both directions for several hours.

SOUTHAMPTON, NJ — A three-vehicle crash injured each driver and caused a fuel spill Tuesday morning on Route 70 in Burlington County, officials said.

A Mack truck, a Volvo tractor-trailer and a Honda SUV collided on Route 70 West just before 5:45 a.m., authorities said. Each driver sustained minor injuries, and the Mack driver was brought to the hospital, said State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash remains under investigation.

The highway was closed for several hours from Route 206 — by Red Lion Circle — to New Road in Southampton.
