A gas explosion that leveled two homes and injured at least five individuals could be heard in Cinnaminson Sunday morning, authorities said.

CINNAMINSON, NJ - A gas explosion in Philadelphia that leveled two homes and injured at least five individuals could be heard in Cinnaminson early Sunday morning, authorities said.

The explosion, which happened before 3 a.m. on Miller and East Atlantic Streets per 6abc, prompted multiple reports of a loud explosion, Cinnaminson police said in a statement.

“The New Year's Day blast sent cars and debris in the air and shook homes for blocks,” Cinnaminson police wrote. “Two homes were leveled and multiple others were damaged.”

No fatalities were reported as a result of the explosion, police added.
