Glow-In-The-Dark Basketball Postponed In Cinnaminson Due To Stormy Forecast

Monday night's thunderstorms could produce heavy rain and gusty winds, according to weather officials.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — A glow-in-the-dark basketball event in Cinnaminson has been postponed because of inclement weather in Monday night's forecast.

The event was originally scheduled for Monday evening at Wood Park. Instead, "Light the Night!" will take place at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Monday night's thunderstorms could produce heavy rain and gusty winds, according to weather officials. (See the forecast below.)

XGLOsive is bringing glow-in-the-dark equipment and uniforms, black lights and dance music to several Burlington County communities. The company holds events centered around sporting fun with a "night club" atmosphere.

Here's the National Weather Service's latest forecast for Cinnaminson:

  • Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
  • Monday night: Showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 a.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Low around 73. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
  • Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. West wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Tuesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 11 p.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 84. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
  • Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 67.
