Daquan Marshall, 30 of Trenton, previously admitted selling fentanyl to a Springfield woman who then overdosed.
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A Mercer County man who previously admitted to selling fentanyl-laced heroin to a Burlington County resident who subsequently died has been sentenced to eight years in prison, authorities announced.
Daquan Marshall, 30 of Trenton, previously pleaded guilty to first-degree strict liability for drug induced death. He must serve 85 percent of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.
Marshall had been lodged in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly since his arrest in April 2019. He originally faced drug distribution charges, but the offense was upgraded after the victim died, and the investigation traced the drugs back to him.
