Magazine: Cinnaminson a Top Place to Live
The township fell several spots, but maintained a place on the list of top towns in South Jersey.

Cinnaminson snared the 16th spot for top towns to live in South Jersey, according a local magazine’s recently released rankings.
South Jersey Magazine ranked the township the 16th best place to live in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties in its Top Towns 2011 list.
"Certainly it’s no surprise to me that Cinnaminson has made it on the list," Mayor Kathleen Fitzpatrick said. "That’s one of the main reasons my family chose to live here—the school system is excellent, it’s a great family-oriented community."

The township took a tumble in its place in overall top towns. It had ranked No. 6 on the 2010 list and No. 9 in 2009, the first year the rankings were published. In 2010, Cinnaminson ranked No. 4 for Burlington County towns; it was listed at No. 6 in 2009. This year, it was not listed among the top Burlington County towns.
Cinnaminson also ranked this year in several other categories among towns with more than 8,000 residents:

• No. 6 in lowest residential taxes per average residential value
• No. 10 in high school performance
• No. 11 in top property values
"Residents that have lived here are long-time residents," Fitzpatrick said, "That’s what builds the community. Generation after genration, families are moving into the homes of their parents because of all the reasons on this list."
South Jersey Magazine, which published the rankings in its May issue, culled data from the state Department of Education, the state Division of Local Government services and the New Jersey State Police Uniform Crime Report.
The criteria for selection includes average residential property value, residential taxes per value, reported crime, SAT scores, college-bound high school graduates and performance on standardized tests.
"I’m just proud to be a small part of making sure that Cinnaminson continues to move in the right direction to retain that same status," Fitzpatrick said.
