Man On Horse Chases Hit-And-Run Suspect In Burlington Co.: Police
A modern-day knight in shining armor and his noble steed uncovered key information that led to the arrest.

RIVERSIDE, NJ — While some wait their entire life for a knight in shining armor, it was a hoodie-donning man and his horse who came to the rescue after a hit-and-run on a suburban street Saturday in Riverside.
A man named "PJ" was visiting the township to show his horse, Shiny, to his friends. But that morning, the duo saw a driver strike a parked car and ride off into the sunset.
A different person reported the incident to police, telling officers she heard a loud crash outside her Middleton Street home. When she went outside, she saw a vehicle speeding off and noticed damage to a parked car.

Shortly after, PJ emerged with some important news to deliver by horseback. PJ informed the caller that he saw a gray Honda Accord hit the vehicle and drive off.
With Shiny's help, PJ rode after the car and got close enough to obtain a partial license-plate number. That information helped police identify Italo Lalvay Guaillasaca as the suspect.

Guaillasaca, 22, was charged with careless driving, driving without a license, failure to report an accident, and leaving the scene of an accident.
"We want to thank the witnesses in this case for being observant, coming forward, and making the calls to our officers," said the Riverside Police Department. "We'd especially like to thank PJ and his sidekick 'Shiny' for their efforts to get us the information that ultimately solved the case."
Attorney information for Guaillasaca wasn't available Tuesday in online court records.
