NJ Transit Bus Strikes Pole In Cinnaminson, Causing Heavy Damage: Officials

No passengers were on the bus, and the driver escaped injury.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — An NJ Transit bus struck a utility pole in Cinnaminson on Thanksgiving, causing heavy damage along the roadway, officials said.

The accident occurred shortly after 9:45 a.m. Thursday around Broad Street and Taylors Lane. The bus hit a utility pole and heavily damaged another, which fell onto the vehicle's roof.

No passengers were on the bus, and the driver escaped injury, according to the Cinnaminson Fire Department.

The bus sustained heavy front-end damage, with photos posted by the fire department showing a mangled front bumper and door.

Broad Street was closed for nearly 5 hours after the crash as PSE&G crews operated at the scene.
