Outdoor Movie Postponed Due To Stormy Weather In Cinnaminson

Mario and Peach will stay in the castle this weekend. Here's the latest forecast for the rainy period ahead.

CINNAMINSON, NJ — Nintendo's finest will reschedule their visit to Cinnaminson, with the township postponing this weekend's outdoor-movie night because of inclement weather.

The township planned to show The Super Mario Bros. Movie on Saturday evening for Cinnaminson's "Movie in the Park" event at Wood Park. Officials postponed the event to July 1.

The event's schedule remains the same for July 1, with Mario and Princess Peach arriving at 6:30 p.m. before the movie begins around 8:15 p.m.

Movie in the Park will feature free popcorn and cotton candy while supplies last. Wood Park is located at 900 Pomona Rd.

Stormy conditions will dominate Cinnaminson's forecast at least into early next week, according to the National Weather Service. Showers and thunderstorms are likely throughout Friday, with potentially heavy rain. Forecasters expect more showers on Saturday, with a chance of thunderstorms throughout the day and night.
