Police Catch Young Bike Thieves

Palmyra Police say five juveniles stole bicycles from a resident's backyard.

Police caught a group of juvenile bike thieves who allegedly pedaled away from the scene of their crime on their stolen rides.

A resident of Leconey Circle called police just after 2:30 Aug. 27 after she saw several juveniles walk by her house without bicycles, then moments later saw them ride by on two distinct bicycles she recognized as belonging to a friend, Palmyra Police said.

Police stopped the juveniles at Horace Avenue and Bartlett Street and brought the caller to the scene, as well as the owner of the bikes to confirm they belonged to her.
