Popular NJ Brunch Spot Opens Burlington County Location

With a selection of omelets, waffles, wings and platters, you won't have to choose between the Chicken or the Egg at this new eatery.

MARLTON, NJ — A cult classic Jersey Shore brunch spot has opened its newest location on the other side of the state.

Long Beach Island’s The Chicken or the Egg, known as “Chegg” to locals, opened a new outpost in the Marlton section of Evesham Township on Monday.

Situated at the site of a former Kmart at The Shoppes at Renaissance Square, the brunch destination features offerings from omelets, waffles, wings, handwiches, fries and egg platters to signature egg sandwiches like the Jersey Devil, Buffalo Chegger or the Goshdarnwich.

The Chicken or the Egg's original Beach Haven location is shuttered until Feb. 15 for a winter break, ownership announced last month. During the summer months, the eatery routinely offers late night and 24-hour service. It was not immediately clear if the same plans are in the works for the new Marlton location.

The Chicken or the Egg is located at 121 Route 70 East in Marlton. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
