Severe Thunderstorm Warnings Issued In South Jersey
Officials detected multiple severe thunderstorms in the region. Here's the latest timeline.
SOUTH JERSEY — The National Weather Service (NWS) issued multiple severe thunderstorm warnings for inland South Jersey on Thursday afternoon after detecting potentially damaging storms in the region.
Meanwhile, some of the region's roads began flooding. The NWS issued flood advisories for Camden and Burlington counties and expects flooding from excessive rainfall until the early evening. Track watches, warnings and advisories here.
One warning impacting south-central Camden County and east-central Gloucester County runs until 3 p.m. Thursday. Officials located a severe thunderstorm at 2:33 p.m. over Glassboro, moving northeast at 30 mph.

Impacted communities include Glassboro, Pitman, Clayton, Sicklerville, Williamstown, Monroe Township, Turnersville and Pine Hill.
The other warning is in effect until 3:15 p.m., impacting north-central Camden County and west-central Burlington County. The NWS issued the warning after detecting a severe thunderstorm over Cherry Hill at 2:43 p.m., moving northeast at 30 mph.

Impacted locations include Cherry Hill, Evesham, Mount Laurel, Medford, Lumberton, Mount Holly, Magnolia, Springdale, Ramblewood, Erlton-Ellisburg, Barclay-Kingston, Greentree, Cherry Hill Mall, Golden Triangle, Marlton, Ashland, Maple Shade, Haddonfield, Haddon Heights and Barrington.
Rainfall totals throughout Camden and Burlington counties could reach 1-1.5 inches Thursday afternoon. State officials reported flooding at 2:43 p.m. on Route 130 South in Pennsauken. All lanes remain open, but expect delays of 5-10 minutes.

- Rest of Thursday afternoon: Showers with a chance of thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Near steady temperature in the mid-70s. Southwest winds around 5 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
- Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms in the evening, then partly cloudy after midnight. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall in the evening. Humid with lows in the mid-60s. West winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.
- Friday: Mostly sunny. Hot with highs in the mid-80s. West winds around 5 mph.
