‘World’s Greatest Uncle’: Willingboro Veteran Honored For Courage And Compassion
Derald Brown, a Navy veteran, is celebrated for his service and his unwavering support for family, friends and strangers.

Willingboro, NJ — From their time in uniform to their everyday contributions in our neighborhoods, veterans embody service in so many forms. Patch and T-Mobile have teamed up to share stories of veterans making a difference in the places we call home.

Served on the USS Kincaid (DD-965) (1981–83) and the USS Fresno (1983–85). Made two deployments in his four years of service. Survived an attack by a man with a knife. Witnessed the murder of a shipmate during that attack. Supports family, friends and strangers in their time of need.
