Fire At Union County Food Prep Building Burns For Hours, 1 Hospitalized: Police
The fire started at around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday at a food preparation company in Linden. Firefighters are still on scene, police said.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — Firefighters are still battling a massive fire at a food preparation company in Linden as of 8:25 a.m., according to Linden Police.
Police said the fire started just before 12:30 a.m. in the kitchen area of the World Class Kitchens located at 1911 Pennsylvania Ave. Linden Fire Department, with assistance from multiple Union County Mutual Aid departments, were seemingly successful in containing the fire to a single building, police said.
The building was occupied at the time of the incident, and police said all employees were evacuated. One worker was treated for smoke inhalation and was rushed to a local hospital, police said.

Parts of Park Ave., Linden Ave. and Elizabeth Ave., along with other surrounding streets, remain closed at this time.
According to New Jersey News12, the emergency efforts are occurring as temperatures drop well below freezing, and surrounding roads are experiencing icy conditions.

Emergency Responders are expected to remain on scene for several more hours, police said.
