GARWOOD, NJ — Two pedestrians were hit by an SUV in Garwood on Wednesday night, according to Garwood Police Chief Jim Wright.

Wright said a white Nissan SUV was traveling east bound on South Avenue at around 6:47 p.m. and was turning left onto Center Street and did not see two pedestrians crossing the road in a marked crosswalk.

The SUV hit both pedestrians and both complained of minor injuries, Wright said. The pedestrians were treated at the scene by units from Union County EMS and both refused further medical attention, according to Wright.
