7 Clark Alums To Be Inducted Into Arthur L. Johnson Hall of Fame

Seven esteemed graduates of Clark Public Schools are slated to be inducted into the high school's hall of fame. Here's the full list:

CLARK, NJ - Seven esteemed graduates of Clark Public Schools are slated to be named to the Arthur L. Johnson Hall of Fame this year, school officials said (see full list below).

The seven honorees graduated Arthur L. Johnson High School between 1959 and 1998, and have “contributed in a positive manner to their profession, their community, or to the students of Arthur L. Johnson High School,” according to criteria on the ALJ alumni website.

Alumni are nominated annually for five categories: Accomplished Professional, Community contributor, Volunteer, Crusader Pride and Distinguished Faculty.

  • Leonard S. Baumel, 1959
  • Bill Prish, 1963
  • Edward McDevitt, 1969
  • Richard Zavali, 1978
  • Christine (Cwieka) Romeo, 1983
  • Yolanda Urbanski, 1992
  • Karen (Kolmos) Planas, 1998

The 2023 Arthur L. Johnson Hall of Fame induction dinner will be held at the Gran Centurion on May 18. Dinner registration forms will be posted on aljalumni.org this winter.
