93-Year-Old In Critical Condition After Hit By Postal Truck In Union
The elderly woman was hit by a U.S. Postal Truck as the driver was reversing in a parking lot on Monday afternoon, according to police.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — An elderly woman remains in critical condition after she was hit by a U.S. postal truck in Union Monday afternoon, according to Union Police.
A United States Postal Office vehicle, operated by 37-year-old Yusef Yusufav of Newark was reversing through the parking lot of 255 Tucker Avenue when his vehicle collided with a pedestrian — 93-year-old Eva Naidanovich of Union, police said.
The incident occurred at around 1:35 p.m. on Monday. Naidanovich was then rushed to University Hospital for treatment.

As of Wednesday, she remains in the ICU, listed in critical condition, according to Police Chief Scott Breslow.
The investigation is being conducted by Officer Marco Penetra of the Union Police Department. This investigation is ongoing pending further information and witness statements.
