CLARK, NJ — A Clark woman's story of her journey with her rescue dogs has grabbed Petco's attention and is one of this year's national Petco Love Stories contest winners.

Donna Foti shared her story with Petco about how her two dogs, Clyde and Finn, have completed her family, brought meaning to her life and make her smile each day.

"As accepting as I am of fate and the way the universe works, I’ve still often pondered my purpose and the meaning of my life. I know it’s different for everyone, and it’s taken me a while, but I’ve finally figured it out. For me, it’s all about giving and receiving love. And the most unconditional love that I have in my life, the love that fills my heart every single day, is the love that I share with my dogs," her story reads in part.

Foti adopted both of her dogs from Home for Good Dog Rescue in Berkley Heights. Her story earns the rescue two grant opportunities — One for submitting a winning story, with the surprise amount to be shared on Dec. 15 with a big check at the local celebration event, and one for the stories that get the most votes in their online People's Choice Awards contest by Dec 15.
