CLARK, NJ — If Clark residents notice reduced water pressure or discolored water within the next two weeks, it could be due to work that New Jersey American Water is doing in the area.

New Jersey American Water crews are beginning routine flushing of the water distribution system in the Clark area, June 13 though June 24, to provide residents with high-quality water services, according to an announcement from the town.

American Water said if people notice their water is discolored, they should run the cold water taps, at the lowest level of the house for about three to five minutes until the water runs clear. If discolored water occurs, residents are advised to refrain from doing laundry during that time.

Residents are also told not to approach crews while they work to ensure safety for both customers and employees.
