Early Dismissal For Kean University Due To Threat Of Thunderstorm

The university is closing all campuses early on Monday due to the impending storm, according to Kean University Police.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Due to the forecast of strong storms coming into Union County, Kean University Police announced that the university will have an early dismissal on Monday.

All Kean USA campuses and offices will close at 3 p.m., according to police. No activities will take place after 3 p.m., as well.

Police said essential personnel should report to work as required.

Heavy rain, strong winds, lightning and even hail have been predicted for Union County, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm is expected to begin in the afternoon and continue into Monday evening. The NWS placed Union County on a severe thunderstorm watch.
