See the latest announcement from the Borough of Garwood.

Friday, May 6, 2022
This week’s map again shows our region in moderate activity, and Garwood also shows moderate activity locally. There were 32 cases reported during April (up from 11 in March). The Westfield Regional Health Department continues to monitor two newly identified versions of the BA2 variant, BA2.12 and BA2.12.1, both of which are considered even more transmissible than BA2 and have led to New Jersey experiencing a 50% increase in cases in the last two weeks. New Jersey’s rate of transmission remains above 1 at 1.2. With the rise in COVID activity, the health department would like to encourage residents to test early if they develop signs or symptoms of COVID.
