Hispanic Heritage Celebration Performance Schedule Announced

The event will include live music and cultural performances, representing Brasil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and other Latin countries.

UNION, NJ – The Township of Union is proud to be hosting its 5th Annual Hispanic Heritage
Celebration to take place on Sunday, September 19th, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the parking lot in front of Town Hall, 1976 Morris Ave.

The event will include live music and cultural performances, representing Brasil, Colombia,
Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico and other Latin countries. The schedule of performances is:

 2:30 p.m. - Hispano of the Year Award Ceremony
 3:00 - Peruvian Cultural Performances
 4:00 - Salsa/Tango/Flamengo Performances
 5:00 - Free Salsa Class, taught by Roman Cruz, a world-renowned dancer & instructor
 6:00 - Samba Demonstration
 6:30 - Capoeira Demonstration & Interactive Movement Session
 7:30 - Armando Son Jiménez y Orquesta

In addition, the celebration will feature local Latin food vendors such as Gusto y Sabor
Colombiano, El Lechon de Negron, Sabor de mi Tierra, Latin Bites Food Truck, the Yes! Coffee Truck and a pop-up appearance by El Gordo Restaurant, Union’s newest Peruvian restaurant.

This year’s event is sponsored by the Township of Union, Centurion Union, Union Center
