ELIZABETH, NJ - A crash involving a pedestrian has prompted delays in the area Monday morning, authorities said.

As of 3:11 a.m., there’s a crash investigation and a pedestrian accident on Route 1&9 southbound south of Grand Street in Elizabeth, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

Two left lanes are currently closed, the agency said.
