Say Hello To Fall: Hayrides, Campfires Coming Soon To Union County
Union County residents are invited to hop on a hayride and roast marshmallows by a campfire this October.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — This autumn, Union County residents will get the chance to hop on a hay ride and enjoy a late-night campfire.
Tickets for the hayrides will go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 9 a.m. The Union County Board of Commissioners is hosting the event at both Warinanco Park and Trailside Nature & Science Center on various dates in October.
In order to participate, tickets must be purchased in advance — $6 for Union County residents and $12 for non-residents.

Here are the dates and locations for the various hayrides:

- Sunday, Oct. 2: 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Trailside Nature & Science Center
- Friday, Oct. 7: 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 9: 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 14: 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 28: 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Hayrides will run through the evening at approximately 20-minute intervals until each ticket holder has been on one ride. All Friday participants must check in before 8 p.m. and Sunday participants must check in before 5 p.m.
Ticket holders not checked in by those times are not guaranteed a ride.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring a blanket or chair for the campfire. The ticket icludes a hayride, entertainment, hot chocolate and marshmallows.
