Man Killed In Union County Shooting Saturday: Prosecutor

A man suffered from gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead on Saturday, prosecutors said.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — A Somerset man was shot and killed Saturday evening in Plainfield, according to police who are investigating the incident.

After receiving reports of gunshots in the area of the 700 block of Kensington Avenue, Plainfield Police officers rushed to the scene at about 6:38 p.m. Officers then found David Michael Buck of Somerset who had suffered gunshot wounds.

Buck was rushed to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The Union County Prosecutor’s Office, Homicide Task Force and the Plainfield Police Department are actively investigating this case.
