Union County Man Charged In 7 Homicides Had Prior Convictions

The Elizabeth man convicted for seven separate homicides in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania was previously arrested three times within seven months in 2011 and 2012.

Todd West plead guilty to a stolen car conviction and multiple drug offenses resulting in a three-year prison term - he was released this past October, according to nj.com.

Now, the 22-year-old is back in jail for multiple weapons and murder charges and his bail on all the New Jersey charges is set at $5.5 million.

“It is horrific and unprecedented,” acting Union County Prosecutor Grace Park said according to CNN. “I don’t know how you would define a mass killer. All I would say is that we have never seen one individual commit this type of shooting spree, murder spree in such a short period of time here in this county.”
