A woman was found dead Tuesday morning on the south side of the Garwood train platform, police said. Police Capt. Doug Stoffer said the woman, who was approximately 50 years old, was found slumped over a bench at about 1:45 a.m. Garwood Police Chief Bruce Underhill said the death does not appear to be suspicious.The case was turned over to the NJ Transit authorities who have now identified the woman and are in the process of notifying her family, Stoffer told Patch.
