Burglars Hit Residence, JR's Mini Mart

Police are looking for any information in two Cranford burglaries.

Cranford police seek information in two burglaries, one in a Burchfield Avenue residence, another at JR's Mini Mart, that occurred last week.

Officers responded to a residence on Burchfield Avenue on February 17 on the report of a burglary. Police believe the burglary to have occurred between 7:45 a.m. and 12 p.m. The suspect or suspects cut a screen and broke a window in the rear of the residence. It appears only jewelry was taken.

Units responded to a burglary at JR's Mini Mart on Centennial Avenue on February 19. Three suspects allegedly smashed in the front door, entered the store and took money and cigarettes between 2 and 2:20 a.m. A witness said the individuals fled in an older model green van, driving away from Wall Street onto Centennial Avenue. There is no further information on the suspects.
