Cranford Area Gets Several Inches Of Snow After Overnight Storm

According to NWS snowfall totals, Cranford and surrounding towns got several inches of snow after last night's storm.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford residents woke up to blankets of snow throughout the township Friday morning after the previous night's storm.

The NWS reported that around 5 inches of snow accumulated in Cranford, and an average of 6 inches in Union County.

Cranford Public Schools had already transitioned to remote learning this week due to the rise in COVID-19 cases across the district.

The Cranford Police Department asked residents on Thursday to remove all vehicles from the roads to allow the Department of Public Works to keep the roads clear and ensure safe passage for firetrucks and other emergency vehicles.
