Cranford Equity & Inclusivity Committee Asks Public To Complete Survey
The Committee, which aims to encourage diversity and inclusion in Cranford, first launched after the death of George Floyd in 2020.
CRANFORD, NJ — After first launching its initiative after the death of George Floyd in the summer of 2020, the Cranford Equity and Inclusivity Strategic Planning Committee has drafted survey for the public to complete.
The Committee is asking all Cranford stakeholders to participate in the 5-10 minute survey to help further the initiative to create a more equitable and inclusive community.
Individual names of survey participants are not required, and the anonymity of all participants will be protected. This survey consists of 20 questions.

Ultimately, this information will be considered and applied to guide the ongoing collaborative process that will support the development of our 2023-2028 Cranford Equity and Inclusivity Strategic Plan, according to the Committee.
The Cranford Township Committee, Cranford Board of Education, NAACP, the Cranford Clergy Council and additional concerned citizens collaborated to form this initiative in the midst of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020.

"Together, we must do more to address the systems, organizations and acts that perpetuate such, and ensure that every member of the Cranford community is genuinely respected, accepted, and treated with the equality and dignity that they deserve as human beings," the Committee said in a message to the community at the time. "Together, we must remain steadfast in our stance that Cranford is intolerant of racism and hate, and, therefore, take every action necessary to abolish it."
