Cranford's Fall Lineup Of Recreational Teams, Activities Opening For Registration

CRANFORD, NJ — A new batch of activities to get out and enjoy will be available for registration by the Cranford Recreation and Parks Department beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Starting at 9 a.m., residents are invited to visit the organization's website to sign up on a first-come, first-served basis for basketball leagues, youth bike skills courses, Halloween events, and more. There are also preschool programs that incorporate staying active during the fall months for children to take part in.
All individuals and families must show proof of residency and pay upfront before the event or team begins. Children under the age of 18 registering must also be accompanied by a parent.

Unless otherwise told, all activities will be held at the Community Center located at 220 Walnut Ave. Along with teams, courses and holiday activities, Cranford will also hold "open center" days. Residents who register prior to use are able to access a basketball gym, game room, lounge with two TVs, and vending machines from 9 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. on days when there are no rec programs scheduled. The Open Center schedule for the week is posted on the department's website every Monday morning.
