Discussion On Gun Safety To Be Held At Cranford Community Center
Author Nancy Kislin will talk to parents about how they should educate their children on school shootings and violence.
CRANFORD, NJ — A conversation about gun safety in schools and the community will be held at Cranford Community Center this month.
Nancy Kislin, a licensed clinical social worker and the author of "Lockdown: Talking to Your Kids About School Violence," will discuss with the community how parents should discuss gun safety with their children.
This event will be hosted by the Westfield Democratic Club.

The talk will take place on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the community center located at 220 Walnut Avenue.

Besides being an author, Kislin is a child, adolescent and family psychotherapist, specializing in anxiety, depression and trauma.
Her book "Lockdown: Talking to Your Kids About School Violence" examines the psychological and emotional impact of "lockdown culture" on children.
