Drunk Driver Trying To Sell Drugs Arrested In Cranford: Police

He also received multiple vehicle violations.

CRANFORD, NJ — A man was arrested for driving drunk with prescription drugs he was trying to sell in the car, Cranford Police said.

Clifford Robert, 33 of Piscataway, is charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of prescription narcotics with the intent to distribute.

He was also given summonses for careless driving, delaying traffic, and having controlled dangerous substances in a motor vehicle.

On Sept. 22 at around 12:30 a.m., officers stopped a 2016 Acura near the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Miln Street Avenue E., and Forest Avenue for multiple vehicle violations.

Robert was arrested and taken to the Union County Jail, where he awaits an appearance in Superior Court.
