Family Support Gets A New Lift With Cranford Business Collaboration
School readiness programs for children will be one of their new offerings.
CRANFORD, NJ — A new family developmental therapy practice is now open in Downtown Cranford.
Collaborative Therapy Solutions will house various programs and sessions related to child developmental issues and people with autism. The business is a partnership between the owners of two practices that already call Cranford home and will combine both of their expertise into their new venture.
Reach for the Stars Pediatric Speech-Language-Feeding Therapy is owned by Lisa Jiannetto-Surrusco. She is a state-licensed and ASHA-certified speech, language pathologist, and feeding and swallowing specialist who has been practicing since the late 90s.

"No matter how challenging the journey may be...It really inspires a feeling of hope," Lisa tells Patch, "Watching each child grow in their own unique way is the absolute best thing ever!"
Ovation Behavior Group, owned by Kate Harrison and Pierre Louis, is looking to help more patients through their applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy for people with autism and other developmental disabilities through this new venture.

Pierre brings with him a background in both private and public schools and residential consultation. He is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Kate is a Licensed Behavior Analyst and also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She has spent more than 15 years helping others in homes, organizations and schools.
"ABA and Speech are often viewed as separate, 'either-or' options for treatment, but we're challenging that mindset," Kate says. "By working together, genuinely listening to one another, and learning from our different approaches, we're becoming better clinicians and providing more comprehensive care."
Pierre and Kate began Ovation Behavior Group, now serving families in their homes throughout New Jersey, in 2022 while Lisa opened her Cranford branch of Reach for the Stars, located at 107 B North Union Ave., in 2012. Reach for the Stars also has a location in Edison.
Kate and Lisa met through the Cranford Chamber of Commerce, where they began to recognize that an idea like Collaborative Therapy Solutions would allow them to learn from each other while reaching more people.
"Kate and I both live in Cranford," adds Lisa. "It is the community that we call home. Downtown is such a vibrant community, with both a small-town vibe and a BIG heart."

"We are a supportive, warm, family-focused practice. We encourage any family with questions to reach out," adds Lisa. "Whatever your needs are, we guide you through the process of where to begin, how to understand insurance, and what the therapy experience will look like."
Collaborative Therapy Solutions will also offer school readiness programs for children. Families looking to learn more about those or other sessions can start by visiting the link provided by Ovation Behavior.
Collaborative Therapy Solutions can be found at their new location downtown at 25 North Avenue E.
